not entirely clear to me what undoing the sexual revolution would even look like the enforcement mechanisms required to repress sexual behavior are not just unpalatable to a modern audience, but reliant on social institutions that no longer exist

Modern day order: sex --> romance -->serial monogamy vs. forced order: marriage --> sex of the old days probably has ppl feeling equally repressed across the ages, as the social restraints on sex of the past have equally depressing implications on ppl restrained by their freedom.

The Hansonian argument is that humans, having become collectively rich and untethered from survival needs, are reverting from "forced" farmer norms, which prized stable familial structures, to more "natural feeling" forager norms and their related sexual/relationship structures.

If Hanson's argument of farmer -> forager norm shift is correct, I expect that the sexual revolution will be seen historically as one of the main turning points toward forager values.

Um, actually, the biggest shift will be considered evolution away from people who use contraception.
