I'd like to start a campaign to introduce "xor" to regular English so that we can abolish the ugly "and/or" construction once and for all.

I think the idea is that "or" would revert to its logical meaning and xor would take the place of today's common-usage or

[very ndgt voice] Actually, xor stands for “exclusive or” and means an expression is True if and only if only one input is True. To use it to mean “and/or” would only make everyone more confused, since that is not even close to what it means.

when i say "if X then Y" i mean it INTUITIONISTICALLY, if you mean classical implication you should say "Y or not X" ("orn't" for sure)

"and / or" doesn't mean XOR does it? is the thought that if we had XOR then "or" would mean OR? "Let's make a rare truth-function more elegant at the expense of making a ubiquitous truth-function unpronounceable"
