Modifying mice is hard. :'(

Implanting a 5-event (up down left right "buttonclick") thumbstick that can do diagonals into a G700s. It's hellish. The thing is so cramped a Chinese friend has promised an "extremely low profile" 8-way hat (4 physical separate switches) that I "can also plant a button on") tho

why would a mouse need anything beyond left-middle-right clicks and maaaaybe a scrollwheel if you hate yourself

I love meself macro-capable extra buttons. Frankly, finding my "perfect mouse" is hard. G700s has perfect hardware and software (it can work without specialized software) but inferior grip. I was able to use silicone shoe fit adjusters (you know, the women's shoes thing) to

make G700s's grip closer to performance MX (near perfect gripwise, but crippled by setpoint software crapola), but side button placement is just no good. So I decided to replace side buttons with a thumbstick because hell yeah it's a cool idea but boy it is hard.

oh, and I plan to add pinkie rest (i did that for my performance mx) but that is easy (I have become unreasonably good at glueing pinky rests to mice)

thumb trackball supremacy

I can relate to thumb trackballs, they have lots of merits, but I can't see them doing much good in CoD

the flaw is but in the devices but in playing cod

Yeah, like modifying them from "alive" to "dead" seems like it wouldn't be too hard.
-
I think being a gaming mouse, it only started out alive under very permissive definitions of "life"
