Whenever I read about BPD, it always just seems like a big grab bag of unrelated stuff that could be pretty much be summarized as "whoa, you're pretty fucked up in the head"

from my past experience, the most distinctive feature is the tendency to spontaneously make enemies out of friends and family. it's like flipping a light switch. some trigger will cause the change in perception and then, from the BPD person's POV you might as well be Hitler.
