I disagree. I think David's work discusses ontology all over the place. He lists Dreyfus and Heidegger as important influences and has an extensive background with Buddhist thought. If the boundaries between ontology and psychology begin to blur, it's because they're blurry.

One of the core insights that the whole framework seeks to develop more fully is the fact that we reason about the contents of our mind, which is a representation of reality. Understanding the mechanisms of cognition allows us to see what is generating the representation.
