I mean there still is, but just the variety from place to place just imagine! you know cats all your life, not "there are lots of kinds of cats" but just "here is how cats look" then you go off to Norway and WOW **everything** is different!

the main shame of having basically every kind of knowledge at your fingertips a la wikipedia but even encyclopedias or say major school systems, rapid travel, and good photography is that experiential knowledge isnt really restricted by space anymore

I think so can you imagine how much they'd lose it if you like raised them on an island with no knowledge of the outside world at all then when they're like 13 pull back the curtain theyd spend the rest of their lives discovering cool shit about this crazy new universe
