People tend to be less flippant about etiquette if they can be run through for it.
-
Now I'm imagining every single New Yorker who gets cut off on the subway challenging their adversary to a duel to the death

-
The thing about duels is that they do involve a dispute resolution stage *before* the fight. Perhaps improving the way in which we defuse one-to-one disagreement is worth looking at. Easier to implement if it doesn't require changes in law.
-
I'd want there to be paperwork and witnesses involved, natch
-
woah I didn’t sign up for that
-
expectation: reality teevee companies would sponsor the paperwork anyway
-
My concern is the relative loss of naughtiness and fun, even assuming a thing is legal. There ought to be some air of forbidden-ness retained imo.

Maybe decriminalization would be an easier obstacle to overcome. Nevertheless this platform has my full support.

It is true humans need more evolutionary pressures in this age

100% agree the line "a crime is harm to someone" rules out moralfag victimless crimes BUT allows policing of consensual harm which is fine imo. Boxing, contact sports are consensual harm, so why not BDSM? Duelling? Arvin Meiwes? not joking either
-
oh to clarify BDSM isn't illegal UNLESS you live in the UK like me and evidence of more extreme forms counts as criminal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Spanner … - consensunal gay dudes went to jail despite "victims" saying nothing wrong was done. Also suicide/right to die is a big thing too
