/4 For good reasons, we don't trust them to consent to to such things. Talking about "consent" in the context of kids, kinda isn't likely to convince anyone.

/3 Children below 8 are pretty much suicide machines that have to be monitored constantly less they "consent" themselves to death. We dodn't even respect their ability to positively consent in many cases. It's a crime to have sex with a child, even if they consent.

/1 The more I think about this the more I think framing things in terms of consent is a mistake here. If you start talking about consent to the parents of young child you're just going to get strange looks. Their entire lives are about violating their child's consent.
