This is a very interesting question. How are we defining "degeneracy?"

Promiscuity, pursuing lust rather than love, greed instead of good. Giving in to the 7 sins.

Why would they be? It's selfish and destructive, in the end benefiting no one.

I am inclined to think that some balance of those things is necessary and that the Egregore prohibiting them is flexible.

Yes balance is important. My initial question was why does the degeneracy intice, why is the destruction of balance seem so nice (it isn't)

I asked what was the definition of "degeneracy." Is it Dynamicism? Any change is degeneracy? If so, you are in for a for of disappointment.

I'd go by the textbook definition. This is coming from a paradigm that the society we live in is not inherently good, and its values are off

Sexual degeneracy is the most rampant form I'd say. It's everywhere and most people seem okay with it or are involved in it.
