I'd believe log-normal more (and maybe some mixture of log-normal to make it more dispersed). "Hedonic regression" is a good search phrase.

Or to say another way, emission distribution is roughly log-normal, with mean (and SD) depending on neighborhood-scale factors.

It's sure not the Bay Area. I'm used to seeing log-prices with modes around, 14.0-14.5.
