Eastern Ukraine is majority Russian and may mostly welcome the change. Incidentally, it's also the region with the most industry and natural resources. Germany still depends on Russian gas, the US is paralyzed and Ukraine's government is weak. Good time for Vova to make a move?

Honestly, you have no idea about Ukraine. Either this information is outdated or originated from unreliable sources (russian propaganda)

This is a big factor in why America shouldn’t get involved. Ukraine isn’t influential in American culture and it would be a confusing and demoralizing issue.

Well, I would prefer that America got involved, even if by giving weapons. Javelins helped a ton. But as ukrainian, I am biased.

Would really help if Germany was onboard. I would prefer America had a clearer interest and objective in Ukraine. Maybe some kind of conference on the subject with the Europeans and the Russians to establish what’s supposed to happen there.

Right now idk what the goal is. Germany and Russia seem to be fine partitioning Ukraine and so that’s what’s happening.

No one in the West is intent on getting Donbass and Crimea back for Ukraine. When it comes to potential further incursions, the German government also threatened severe consequences together with the French.

I like to beat up on German foreign policy as well, but the problem isn’t intent. People are for Ukraine’s territorial integrity. It’s being uncomfortable with military deterrence.

being uncomfortable with military deterrence seems problematic from a diplomatic perspective

This is true. Like I said, I think there are real problems, but to say that Germany is fine with Ukrainian partioning just isn’t going to get us anywhere.

It’s just what it looks like from the outside. All this crisis the pipeline cutting out Ukraine continued to be built…
