hm @CBWymanWriter were you aware that until 1983 doctors performed surgery on infants without anaesthesia because they simply assumed babies didnt feel pain and only stopped when a mother sued when she found out her baby got open heart surgery with no pain relief

almost certainly the latter "can't feel pain" in the same way animals cant feel pain, which is to say, as convenient as it is fictional

The same thing happens now with circumcision, literally using "they won't remember it so what does it matter" as an excuse to convert the blood curdling cry of an infant in agony into sustenance to maintain their corporeal form
