yeah the vibe has completely changed. people are often cold and distant, many places are not enforcing the states mask mandate but probably because so many people wear them even outside. most children i see wear masks outside, are scared of people. theres just something strange

i pray for that as well, but i suspect i will leave soon. one reason i loved living here was the close proximity to chicago. i went downtown a month+ ago, was a warm and sunny fall day so perfect weather, and there was nobody outside. its become a ghost city. was eerie as heck

oh that is disconcerting. Seattle's downtown is weirdly lively again--not as much as before the pandemic, but well revified from last year. im really sad to hear this. i have fond memories of downtown Chicago. and i hope you find a sunnier society wherever you go next.
