basically they are a low temp slow cooker thing;designed to keep things at a fixed temp below boiling for 12-96 hours depending on what you’re making you can do it on a stove etc but it’s a lot more hassle

you can give it a try in a regular slow cooker. It just takes a tiny bit of work to get and keep the temperature right
