People will go out of their way to inconvenience others simply out of spite even if it generates more work for themselves this is like the most primal of all human behaviors…

There's going to be a hysterically brutal under-reaction to Florida getting rid of their measles vaccines. Ohio makes you show the card to get into giant stadium events, which is probably 2nd on the list after doctor's offices where I'm chill about it.

The doom and gloom about email jobs wasn't for performance. They all make 117k a year and take 3 calls a day and you have to dig around to find which tendril of the Byzantine bureaucracy their salary's disclosed under. Invisible forces tell them what to enact, and they do it.

I see your rage, but I have trouble emphasizing with your perspective or even seeing the slippery slope, sorry. You KNOW people have mostly pretend jobs, these days. Throwing in "check this one document" is not at all an undue imposition on their precious time.

You know, that's actually a more interesting conspiracy theory - that superfluous busywork is injected into jobs in order to have excess authoritatian henchmen capacity when needed.
