We have a book on baby sign. My wife is a speech therapist and makes general statements that large portions of young kids crying is a frustration from inability to communicate. Giving them tools to communicate relieves that angst

there are books, but this is way simpler than that. just find a short list of baby signs and start using them when you talk to baby moon. babies have all the wiring for basic language already, just not the vocal coordination, so you use the sign when you talk about the thing.
