locking this because skimmed recent qts and looks like the boring white racists are using burner fake indian accounts to make their own and man i guess that was incredibly predictable in retrospect

what does seem under commented on is that the QTs are becoming their own separate twitter space. no one is reading the replies, only the QTs. and people are commenting using QTs. novel use of the platform, wonder if it sticks

QTs are a key part of tweeting & allow infinite metadata databases to be built The below explains such databases in the context of TweetBonds but there are many applications, e.g.: https://twitter.com/search?q=from%3Amwiik%20%23XD%20%23serptwurl%20%23mqtdb&src=typed_query&f=live …https://twitter.com/mwiik/status/1309315411532558337 …

           🪐 🧙🏼‍♂️ ✨ added,

TWEETBONDS 101: Metadata Quote Tweets (mQTs)

Metadata Quote Tweets are formatted quote tweets used to drive Twitter SERPs. In this way they enable queries across sets of tweets so marked.

For TweetBonds, metadata Quote Tweets are tweeted by the BondIssuer to advertise the TweetBond, & then to confirm BondHolders after they perform the Signature Activity. BondHolders may also track their holdings w/their own metadata Quote Tweets and search tweets.

The ID of a TweetBond is composed of ‘#’ + username + ‘_’ + status number (the last part of a tweet URL) for the BondIssuer’s TweetBond Signature

The Signature Activity is a specific process: the candidate BondHolder copies the entire TweetBond Signature, then Quote Tweets the tweet under the Signature w/the copied Signature.

Once the candidate BondHolder has completed the Signature Activity, the BondIssuer will get a Notification of the Quote Tweet. The BondIssuer then attaches an mQT to the new BondHolder’s Signature.
TWEETBONDS 101: Metadata QTs and Search

Twitter search is normally used to search tweets for content, for quote tweets of a tweet, for all tweets over a date range, and so forth. Metadata Quote Tweets(mQTs) enable searching tweets by the metadata with which you have marked them. Why would you want to do that? There are a variety of applications, from newsletters to updating threads, but all involve quote tweeting arbitrary tweets with metadata, often hashtags, which are then searched. Note the content of the marked tweet has no bearing on the search.

The -#exclude parameter hides the Search Tweet itself from the Search
TWEETBONDS 101: Analysis of an mQTdb

An mQTdb consists of tweets. Think of them as accumulators. Once search tweets are set up, every tweet added is displayed

#XD: This is my hashtag meaning metadata. Every tweet intended as metadata has this hashtag. If it is ever not intended to be metadata, I also use #exclude

#tweetbond: This is my hashtag meaning TweetBond(TB) database, but only if #XD is also present

#bondholder, #bondissuer: BondIssuer is the one who creates a valid RNQT Stack & advertises it as a TB. BondHolders are those who add their Signature

#ID: This is the unique ID for the TB. It is a #twurltag formed from the URL of the top quote tweet in an RNQT Stack. It is composed of: a # mark, BondIssuer's username, a ‘_’, & the number at the end

Here we see a query. It uses the same tags as the database records, & also includes from:username & #exclude

#exclude is a hashtag, & -#exclude is a search parameter that says to skip tweets w/that hashtag
          TWEETBONDS 101: Databases upon Databases

BondIssuers should tweet Twitter searches for each of the TweetBonds(TB) they issue. BondIssuers might have similar searches for all their issued TBs as a group, simply by leaving off the $ID.

BondHolders have access to the Issuer’s search tweets, & may wish to do their own search tweets. BondHolders may also wish to have a search tweet for all their holdings, this can be accomplished easily via a #MyHoldings db, to which I suggest adding an mQT which shows the #twurltag for the TB whenever one performs the Signature. Once confirmation is received, then one may add an entry to their #MyConfirmations db.

Metadata Quote Tweets (mQTs) are formatted quote tweets typically containing hashtags &/or property-value pairs. They mark arbitrary tweets & allow Twitter search queries to be run on the mQTs. Searches+mQTs form a Database (mQTdb). This thread examines such metadata & databases. https://twitter.com/mwiik/status/1308914923808980994 … pic.twitter.com/NEBOa0PZUa

In a lot of cases, quote-tweeting pulls the conversation out of the original community and into your circle. If I'm looking at an NBA-twitter thing, I'm going to QT it rather than wade into those unwashed masses of replies...
