well another answer is just I try not to do this and many of the expensive not appreciated bg baby things were gifts from other people for their benefit, like, aunt wants to see baby in the cute clothes

I did not appreciate being taken to see genuinely great works of art as a child. I now retroactively appreciate it and want to return and look again.

Our babies got dozens of baby blankets, one of which is the definite favorite that got hauled around everywhere. Why that one? *shrug* And I still have a little bear my gran made me as a baby. Something to remember her by now that she's gone.
