started to diligently keep notes about what im supposed to be doing at work and a schedule for when im gonna finish it day to day finally clicked with me today after 25 years refusing to use planners. i get it now feels like a major level up

just realized I have a deep-seated aversion to scheduling work activities since my early childhood at least no idea why i decided to hate doing this but it feels insane in retrospect is this unusual

Having any kind of set schedule gives me a weird panicky feeling, like I’m trapped; this makes it hard for me to get many things done and I would like to overcome it, but am not sure how. =(

so what I did was 1. list of everything that I want to do and bullets of the steps I need to take to get to the next stage 2. split those tasks up across my workweek, timing for deadlines etc

having the steps you have to take and just adding and crossing those out is very good as a first step
