This is why pee, fisting, spanking, hypnosis, and a lot of other kinks are hard to find or might be listed under different words (as sites ban the word generally). Often it’s difficult to make sure those acts aren’t there so its easier to pull porn altogether from the platform.

3. A dipshit journalist could write a sensationalist story about the evils of a platform, usually they go with a trafficking angle. This can prompt a public backlash, causing MasterCard and visa to not want to support the platform until something is done.

The thing is, porn platforms do WAY more to be sure who is uploading. You think traffickers are using porn platforms to do this shit? No, they’re using Facebook where they don’t have to put their ID in first.

Why does the bad kink list exist? I don’t know. I would suspect an amalgamation of points 1 and 3. People are more likely to charge back things on the list but they’re also things likely to cause press backlash and people to ask MasterCard and visa why they’re working with that

The bad kink list basically exists because of the United Arab Emirates, actually. One of the conditions of Visa and Mastercard being permitted to do business in the UAE is that they can't have their brand too associated with sin+vice. And it's a LOT of money at stake.
