forget china for a second and consider our own factions within govt intel agencies apparently believed ANA would last at least ~6mo & biden trusted this it’s one thing to lie to the public but when you believe your own lies, you’ve become too delusional to be useful

how can anyone believe our intel is useful now? what about when they’re right and aren’t trusted? what if we trust them and they keep being wrong? something serious has to happen to kick these guys into shape among all else what is happening is a huge embarrassment

nobody in charge even considered that things would fall apart so quickly as evidenced by the fact that they accidentally manufactured a refugee crisis had they planned ahead they could’ve kept Bagram FOB which was much more defensible than kabul intl waspic.twitter.com/dAjZj4ML9r
