The only reasons preventing me from stopping thinking about covid are 1) other people won't stop thinking about it and pushing dumb policies and 2) there are some rather puzzling things about the pandemic I find interesting and would like to understand.

Big fan of his anti-lockdown article but this one alone didn't convince me. Yes, moving forward death and ICU visits will be much less frequent but still not feeling great about the possibility of covid permanently fucking tons of people up

I think there's unfortunately a point at which we give up and "A low-grade chance of COVID at all times" is about the same as "A low-grade chance of flu or getting hit by a car at all times". And flu messes you *up*.
