what's bad about it (genuine question)?

To put it in a very simple analogy, it's extremely stupid and disingenuous to blame the small anthill that just showed up in your yard for your house collapsing, when you have a full-blown infestation of termites that's been eating your house's foundations for 50 years.

i don't see critiquing a contributor to climate change that's not the biggest contributor to climate change as being extremely stupid or disingenuous. i really think people just don't want to criticize weed because they love weed.

the entire point of the analogy is that calling the anthill a "contributor" to the collapse of your house is disingenuous and for the record, I don't smoke. Dumbass.

why are you being mean to me?!

my patience towards people who ignore the point entirely is already done, but it's especially over with people who try to dismiss arguments they don't like by handwaving something about people's character

I think critiquing a sizeable (although clearly not the biggest) environmental impact is good. You seem to disagree. I don't think that makes me extremely stupid or disingenuous or dumbass. I think you're unkind for saying so, in fact. You can just disagree with me.

You're doing it again. It's literally not sizeable by any stretch. It's insignificant. And this is not just a difference of opinion. It's scientific misinformation. In this case, with an extra incitement for moral panic sprinkled on top.

What do you call people who put forth scientific misinformation, especially with these kinds of moral panic arguments? Disingenuous. And people who insist on defending a disingenuous point, especially by discrediting them with that moral panic argument? We call them dumbasses.

So with your reasoning most countries shouldn't move to renewable energy because it won't make any difference if China doesn't.
