post-<insertmovementhere> communities will have the same problems the “atheist community” had. You avoid a lot of hard problems by not standing _for_ something, but in the end you can’t define a community through negation.

on the object level i think you could view postrationality as a moderately romantic reaction to rationality still contiguous with it and operating as a generalization of its spirit, rather than a wholesale and concentrated rejection "post" may not be the best prefix here

my impression is that this link has become attenuated over time, as people move on in their lives and newcomers dont have all of the old context. a sort of social saeculum. lots of people dont know who the old gang was. many of us arent on speaking terms anymore
