its probably fine the mechanism is pretty straightforward, any really egregious side effects would probably have been detected at this point my guess is that the long-term damage from a severe infection is much more likely to be real than any vaxx side effects

and vaccines seem to be pretty effective at preventing severe cases because (boring reasons) even if they don't always entirely prevent noticeable infection

Why are you skeptical of long covid claims? Is it the amount of claims or that it could be real?
-
im not at liberty to discuss my actual reasons unfortunately, value accordingly

I have long covid, I'm not imagining this, I've always avoided doctors, very healthy before March last year, then I got sick and I'm still sick. It's real, I wish it wasn't.

Wondering if COVID is responsible for cognitive damage, I can't see the methodology of that study to check if they controlled for PTSD / complex grief. Both inhibit cognition, sometimes severely. Severe COVID def a traumatic event, lockdowns could be too.https://twitter.com/VividVoid_/status/1418923336701251595?s=19 …

Found the methodology, saw no mention of trauma. Just shooting from the hip, but something tells me this is more complex than it appears. The brain fog phenomenon was really widespread during pandemic months, not just in ppl who had COVID.

You’re right to be. Long covid is almost certainly nonsense, and permanent cognitive damage in unexceptional cases massively unlikely. Not that I didn’t fret a little after my bout last summer. Couldn’t help wondering about the mechanism behind those monster headaches.
