IMO this is a reach. Australians are generally very comfortable all things considered and historically the only riots we have had were abt race. We have little to no experience of or capacity for genuine civil unrest.

yeah riots do not feel anywhere near close imo. there will be some small-scale protests, but less than you'd probably think given the level of restrictions imposed by the gov

To demonstrate the extent to which I think that civil unrest is such an unlikely prospect in NSW, I think if NSW had a snap general election today I think the government would comfortably win while promising to continue the current lockdown strategy
