I don't have in mind any sort of holistic answer to this question but it seems to me that not shitting on dumb people per se and not attacking their remaining pillars of meaning for cheap status wins feels like a good start
a related thought comes once more from the notion of dignity, which I envision as basically a conception of mankind as individuals of possessed of moral value independent of their ability that cannot be taken by an outside force, only discarded voluntarilypic.twitter.com/swzzTF4z2j

The Ones Who Walk Away From HyperdriveCity
First of all, I think a better label would be "less smart" instead of "not smart." Which goes hand-in-hand with my belief that any individual, even those not human at all, at any intelligence level, can live meaningful lives, according to their standards.
yeah but also so many times when I've seen people resort to "oh well, guess the stupid people just have to suck it up and deal with it or leave", THEY were actually the ones overcomplicating the fuck out of something for no other reason but make themselves feel or seem smart.
If we were able to remove the one or two orders of magnitude of overcomplication that supposedly smart people have smeared on everything, I think that'd go a long way to bring more people to the table.
I think yudkowsky said something to the effect of "any sufficiently advanced legal system is indistinguishable from fucking over people who can't afford lawyers." It feels like a generally applicable point, although law is possibly the worst offender.
