Do most people consider a person whose all-in annual compensation is $180k to be rich? I don’t and I’m realizing I’m in the minority here it seems.

That’s the thing I learned from this exercise really. People don’t agree on what it means to be rich, except that most people agree that a rich person is someone with “more money than me.”

that's what it means to people who are freaking out about money all the time, which is most people once you stop doing that, the common or garden variety case figures out that if somebody is working for their money, they aren't rich
