the entire east side of my apartment is made of glass. im expecting I can cover roughly three fifths of it with highly reflective material, reducing radiant contributions to heating by about 50% in the earlier part of the day

yeah im doing my best there right now. AC on full blast. unfortunately I think it's partly just cooling it off from the previous heat :/ in any case appreciate this.

Check the outside temperature, and inside temperature at night, and if outside ever goes below, open all the windows and get a fan out.

yeah this would be the ideal unfortunately disassembling the AC setup is quite involved and there aren't any other places on that side of the house that are amenable to conventional fans -_-
