Self-correction: ³He *can* be reproduced in a reactor, by breeding tritium and then letting it decay - maybe that counts as "recycling" for crater brains reading nextbigfuture - but tritium's half-life is 12.3 years, so breeding ³He would mean maintaining large stocks of tritium.
