suppose you know of a woman who is marginally functional, eg she doesn't know how to get information or read particularly well but will understand things if shown this woman has in the past week had a baby and is floundering. she mostly lacks support. where can she find help?

wife has two suggestions 1. there are reddit groups associated with each year and month based on due date - she joined one before Leah was born and it has an associated facebook group. you should be able to find it by posting on r/beyondthebump (and she can also ask qs there)

2. she could meet other moms via an app called peanut which is basically bumble for moms and she might be able to match with people there and then be able to do "playdates" to share childcare load

I’ve heard Crisis Pregnancy Centers are a great place to start where she can plug in to networks of Christian support. It might be good to visit one with her as an advocate and see what’s available.

Catholic Social Services and Lutheran Family Services are both pretty good. If she has a social worker, they’re probably doing regular baby checks on her.
