Environmentalists have ruined many an important government infrastructure project as well for seemingly trivial reasons. Some kinda flower here, special turtles there. The flower in particular got to me. Seems like you can move flowers around.

Of course it would happen. Greenies are used to fossil fuel energy generation surface footprint, and don’t care about details. If New Mexico were paved with solar panels, those not in state would be okay with it.
