I'll never send my kids to school, I'll just home educate them with nerd blogs, frogtwitter tweets and my gut feelings about reality.

This, unironically.

I'm honestly surprised that I don't see more people arguing against public education on the basis of it requiring the government to privilege certain viewpoints above others. Not that it's a sensible point, but, espoused by a deontology-bound Libertarian, it seems natural enough
-
Fortunately, deontology is a spook

I'm over here kinda excited to see what a generation of kids being taught the concept of social construction will do when they discover that god is one. I just wish it wasn't attached to CRT specifically, which kinda sullies it, and will make a bunch of them reject it as a lens.

Some form of homeschooling seems like the best option if one or both parents are good at math. Homeschooled kids often lag in math because their parents aren't good at it. And since my wife and I both do math for a living, I think we'll be fine.

yeah same basically also I hate the idea of my kids having to ask permission to take a piss

As I understand it, I would have been screwed without public education. What's the alternative for kids without especially bright and/or wealthy parents?
-
realistically, vouchers
