Def wouldn’t have to IMO. It’s like a relationship that’s going bad but they’re still anticipating the other will keep paying bills and they’ll keep caring for the children or whatever. Unspoken assumptions and alignment that isn’t the focal point given ‘the fight were having’

Things that make me uncomfortable make me look away. My own desire to (control the migrant flow/bolster the economy/set a reasonable welfare level) makes me feel uncomfortable. Thus I look away from it, leaving room for my shadow to act in the empty space.
