the social environment at the homeschooling co-op was much, much better for one, it was only 13 kids for another, the ages in each class ranged from 11-16 the two 16yos were just, really sweet kids, and over middle school dynamics

so those of us in the younger set were incentivized to act more mature I don't think the incentive was that necessary tho, bc the kids closer to my age were also just really nice kids
