Just curious about something here. In my (first) podcast episode with @eigenrobot I mentioned how in my experience younger Orthodox Jews are moving closer to gun culture and gun ownership is much more normalized. To my Orthodox followers: is this your experience as well?

Not analogous. The Klausenberger Rebbe was referring to murder, like what the Nazis did, not self defense. Armed self defense has always been recognized as not only permissible, but obligatory.
