When people dismiss *every other aspect of psychology* except IQ testing and express extreme hostility to questioning about possible shortcomings in IQ testing methods/applications, that probably does more damage to the perception of IQ as a useful indicator than anything else

Yeah that makes perfect sense, testing is pretty bound to have clearer data - but there’s also the matter of hostility to questioning about what differences in score (apart from disability) actually mean in different settings, whether methods can be improved, etc
