There's also often a big split between the local and national Sierra club chapters. The SF local one is totally captured by NIMBYs. -

If you believe in the EMH, then it's the most efficient way to decarbonize. I think it's a good idea for power, where lots of techs are close to cost competitive, and carbon tax would push them over the edge. Other things like industrial heat likely need different policy.
