I really love this place but it is a little cramped now with two extra humans and a second cat. we rarely go out in the neighborhood, which has become more dangerous. I have a car now. so transit is less important and im not trying to seduce anyone anymore

Seriously, don't. Everything you've been told about how it's good for kids is literally a lie, and we tend to believe it because we lived that way as kids and "what's wrong with that?"

current neighborhood is definitely not good for kids buying is still a longer term question

I did it 6 years ago. It's fine, but I miss my city place. However I do not have an infant. Also I own not rent. Owning a house is a pain.

I second that. Outdoors is calming in a sensory way especially when you have grass and trees where you aren't worried about messing up someone's landscaping. Good to have a place for digging in the dirt.
