Ooh, sorry. My tenure as a landlord was comparatively brief, so when we were compelled to leave the state and abandon our rental, we expelled our tenants into the worst rental market of my lifetime. They were good tenants (mostly), and it made me sad.

oh yeah. i genuinely feel for (most) landlords; I've had wonderful experiences especially with small scale operators, who have universally been respectful and inevitably end up getting awful tenants eventually

I have to wonder what is the cost-benefit ratio of this. Surely there is an economic analysis? Wondering how many people cheated on their taxes before and after consequential legislation in the 20s, 40s and 60s

not sure about taxes, but the book I linked goes into wonderful gory detail about the enforceability of contracts with dozens of examples torn down in detail
