read very little of it, but this instantly discredits the paper imo. Does the author seriously believe that masks are supposed to filter *individual virions*? Last I checked viruses are embedded in droplets, that are much larger and can be filtered electrostaticallypic.twitter.com/WDL83q7WV9

also, the NIOSH air filtration rating is done at the minimum efficiency level of *300nm* N95s filter 95% of particles at that size, and efficiency for smaller particles *is higher*. talking about thread diameters is just disingenuous.pic.twitter.com/prWWsnDbfp

This is useful. What do you think of the death rate numbers? (No worse than flu?)

haven't looked into it too deeply, 'just the flu' is very wrong though from what i've seen. this graph is pretty much my opinion at this point. (im and idiot and couldn't tell you if everything in this is statistical malpractice) https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s10654-020-00698-1.pdf …pic.twitter.com/o0pSyDfrjl

im not familiar enough with sampling methods to know how to evaluate this but the correlations across methods are reassuring and maybe comprehensive tracing seems to address his sample bias arguments
