have ivy league schools become generally lower status relative to eg where they were in the aughts or is that only my internal assessment

i take back what I said about watching admissions rates. way too easy to game and the schools have too much invested in them as a measure of prestige probably better to watch how hard they're gaming them (waiving application fees, soliciting applications from weak candidates)
