the main thing i would suggest you consider is that what you want in your mid 30s may be very different than what you find appealing in your mid 20s, and its worth planning for that future preference set

I really appreciate this, thanks. And yeah that seems like a pretty useful framing. I'll read the rest of the article, but the basic premise makes a lot of sense. My vague sentiment is that I enjoy what I'm doing right now, and I can always bail out to tech if I want money.
