Dryer years are better. Less fuel accumulates. Wet years used to be the worst. Now that we leave fuel to accumulate for the good of certain trees, dry years are slightly worse. But it's worth it for the trees to propagate.

We do. It's for the Sequoias. People are dying of asphyxiation but the trees are seeding for the first times in centuries.
