Been reading this and I think it's something like this: - they try to find the dose where 97.5% of healthy individuals get a given result - to do this, they perform a regression on 32 data points from 10 studies - these data points are the average effects of a certain dose

- this is stupid because they are not looking for an average effect, they are looking for the point where 97.5% of people have this effect - taking the 97.5th percentile as data points for the regression instead shows that dose to achieve outcome should be about 9000IU, not 600
