this seems to suggest a shortage of babies. people are starved for babies. people react to them in the wild like a song they have not heard in too many years, like a view of their childhood home, like the first breath of flowers floating in on a spring evening

One of the things I've liked best about lockdown, spending time, sporadically, with my son during the day!

I've been wondering about the social consequences of so many people having never met a child, much less being friends with one. They bring out the best in us.

Back in the 60s, it was mandated 1 hour of sports every day for schoolkids. Plus walking back and forth to school, and the rest. But academic credentialism is poison to this. The human soul denies measurement, so it not considered. Institutionalisation is the teacher's mandate.
