It already did. China slapped counter sanction on various individuals, there employers, families and related entities. One thing‘s for sure, China is not very good at making friends, to put it mildly.

The hands of the EP. And the EP just today refused to pass the Frontex budget because of how the commission and member-states have been running that show. Suffice to say, sanctioning EP parlamentarians under a sanction list doesn’t win China any favors here and as I may remind

You, human right sanctions are explicitly a part of that treaty. It may be even funnier if the treaty was signed and the parliament invoked further sanction on Chinese officials under the treaty framework, lol
