i loved the idea of tigers turning into pancakes and i felt a deep kinship with the main character. it was legitimately an effective multicultural lesson for me.

It occurred to me that I had no idea what the contents of this book were so I looked it up and TBH other than the name I can't see much wrong with it unless there's a lot missing from the copy I found.

Yeah, I'm aware of the problems with the name, I was just expecting a much more racist book than it seems to be given that. I might have found one with a less bad set of illustrations though.
