nobles oblige and "duty" to help from elites is a myth, even if rhetoric was geared towards it prior to the 60s or whenever it never existed in any concrete way for most people.

surely we can agree that my original tweet was not concerned with whether duty is real, nor with whether it would be good if it were real, but with the matter of the prevalence of belief in those things?
