I'm not sure. I did a little pre-K while my parents worked; i'm not sure it had a huge effect on me, apart from an exceptional montessori kindergarten my grandparents were very influential too, though.

Summer camps formed by a group like that is one of the more powerful concepts I have seen in these discussions in a while. Not all institutions impact equally. Summer camps can be huge.

boy scouts varies wildly depending on troop

Unironically believe that if a troop has female Scoutmasters it is not good Mine was all-male except two wives for paperwork stuff and it was the only all-male activity I did growing up. Very good for my development

church? ik that it's dishonest to go to a traditional christian church if you're 100% atheist, and ik that the alternatives like unitarian churches vary in their levels of "actually being a good place to raise kids" and Wokeness...

...but the local unitarian church where i live is good on the former, anyway, even if it is probably too high for you in the latter.
